NIST Director Laurie E. Locascio to Lead Cybersecurity Business Development Mission to Taiwan

In the period between September 18-20, Laurie E. Locasio, director of the Commerce Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), will lead the cybersecurity business development mission to Taiwan. As Chief of Mission, Locasio will serve as the principal and most senior representative of the delegation throughout the duration of the US delegation. This mission will introduce 13 US companies to some of Taiwan’s leading markets for information and communication technology (ICT) security and critical infrastructure protection.

Commerce Department Business Development Missions are official international trips where officials and industry representatives send a delegation to promote U.S. exports to target economies and develop business partnerships. They are organized by the International Trade Administration of the Department of Commerce and industry, economic and trade experts abroad. The mission is supported by the American Institute in Taiwan.
